Pre Book Covid RT-PCR Test

COVID-19 tests are available at RGIA, Hyderabad with Rapid RT-PCR report in 2 hours and RT-PCR report in 6 hours. With the emergence of the new variant of Covid-19(omicron) the government has issued new guidelines in an attempt to control the spread of this new variant. Under these guidelines RT-PCR test is made mandatory for people travelling from any of the high risk countries. This test will be done on arrival at RGIA, Hyderabad. Guidelines for International Arrivals (Dated 09th December 2021)

For all International Arrivals it is mandatory filling up of Self-Declaration Form (SDF) and uploading of negative RT-PCR test report. Airlines have to ensure availability of negative RT-PCR report before allowing the travelers to board.

  1. For travelers coming from Countries ‘at risk’ have to undergo RT-PCR testing on arrival and (Countries in Europe including The United Kingdom, South Africa, Brazil, Botswana, China, Ghana, Mauritius, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Hong Kong, Israel).

    If tested positive on arrival or after repeat testing after 7 days

    • Lab is advised send sample for genomic testing.
    • Passenger have to be admitted to a separate isolation facility and treatment as per laid down standard protocol.
    • Discharged at the discretion of treating physician if the genomic testing is negative for B.1.1.529 (Omicron variant).
    • If positive for the new variant strict isolation and treatment protocol to be followed till tested negative.

    If tested negative

    • Home quarantine for 7 days a retest has to be done on the 8th day and if negative, self-health monitoring for next 7 days

  2. For travelers coming from Countries excluding those enlisted as Countries at risk
    • A random sample of travelers to undergo RT-PCR testing on arrival and If testing positive
    • Lab has to send sample for genomic testing
    • Treatment as per laid down standard protocol.

In any case if a passenger develops symptoms during quarantine/ self-health monitoring period or test positive on repeat testing It is mandatory to report to nearest health facility or contact National (1075) and State Helpline number.
